Here's a look at how Nantucket Martial Arts Alliance has adjusted to Covid-19. I will continue to monitor local cases, and make adjustments as needed.
3/20/20: All training is postponed.
6/22/20: Training resumes as 1-on-1, or 2 students from the same household.
5/21/21: Sessions can have 2 students from separate households.
6/4/21: 3 people can train. Vulnerable individuals may participate if they bring their own training partner.
6/18/21: Up to 8 people can train together.
7/19/21: Normal class schedule resumes and all are welcome. Individuals who wish to continue personal training may do so. All covid restrictions are lifted. Masks are not required.
8/6/21: Board Of Health Emergency Order N. 16. Masks are required for all those inside the studio.
10/24/21: Board of Health has changed the indoor mask mandate to a mask advisory. Masks are not required in the studio.
1/2/22: Nantucket is experiencing a covid spike, apparently linked to the more contagious Omicron variant. Masks are once again required in the studio.
3/14/22: In line with Nantucket Public Schools, masks are now optional inside the studio. Please feel free to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We will continue to monitor cases on island, and update this policy as needed.
Wishing you health and happiness,
Jules Embry-Pelrine
